Collective responsibilities
Everybody is Site Crew. That means you too!. Loads of stuff needs to be done, like chopping vegetables; entertaining young people; facilitating for disabled people; looking after the gate tent; keeping the compost toilets clean.
Helping out is a good way to meet new people and learn new things. You can sign up for shifts when you arrive but you can also get involved beforehand.
Being part of the camp means actively looking out for and looking after each other. There'll be people around who can assist you to resolve any differences which arise.
Organising and running the Gathering is a lot of work and responsibility. As we are a non-hierarchical organisation, that responsibility lies with everybody. So, if you see something that needs doing, then it is your responsibility to do it or ensure it gets done.
That said, we do need to know that certain things will be covered. We have teams of people who will be responsible for each essential area.
If you think you can help in any of these areas of responsibility that would be really great. Please do get in touch.
Workshops
Workshops at the gathering are put on by anybody and everybody. You don't have to be an expert public speaker to put on a workshop, or even an expert in the subject!
There will be a list of workshops that have already been offered available from the What will happen? page.
Fancy teaching us about the evils of Monsanto? Enabling discussions on sharing of techniques for de-arrest? Sharing skills for resisting the destruction of peat? Contact us with any ideas.
We also need facilitators for workshops - or people who would be prepared to learn to be facilitators. Please also let us know.
Set up and tat down
We always need help setting up before the gathering and taking everything down afterwards. So if you can come early to help set up, or stay afterwards to help take it all down, that would be great. Please let us know.
Tat
To put a gathering together takes an enormous amount of equipment. If you have any you feel is of use, please do contact us. The list of equipment that would be of use is so large that we have set up a separate page - our wish list - please do check and see if there is anything you can provide.
Skills

Examples of skills include:
- Facilitation
